What insurance plans do you accept?

Wellness Psychology accepts Aetna and is an out of network provider for all other insurance plans. Insurance plans vary greatly, therefore if you will be using your out of network benefit is best to call your plan to discuss coverage. Some questions that you may ask to clarify costs would be: if out of network services are covered by your plan, if mental health services are covered, how many sessions are covered, if your deductible needs to be met before mental health is covered, and the percentage of the cost per session that you will be responsible for. Wellness psychology will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance provider for out of network benefits so that you may seek reimbursement.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All services are due for payment at the time the service is provided. For your convenience, Wellness Psychology accepts all major credit cards, FSA and FHA cards.

What is the duration of a therapy appointment and fee?

Sessions are 50 minutes long at a rate of $175.

What is your cancellation policy?

Wellness psychology asks that you provide 24 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you are unable to cancel or reschedule before 24 hours of your appointment, the missed appointment time will be charged in full. Please note that insurance providers will not reimburse you for a missed appointment not cancelled before 24 hours.

What should I expect during my first session?

During your first session come in with an open mind and secure in knowing that you made the right decision seeking expert advice. Participating in therapy is great for personal growth but it is normal to feel challenged at times. Your psychologist will help you work through your own unique process as sessions progress.

How long will I be in therapy?

This varies by person, their needs, and goals that are set for therapy. You may find that you complete your goals quickly. Others may want to set new goals to accomplish once initial gains are made. Some will come to the decision that therapy is a part of their self care routine. This is a personal decision and frequently you will find that you and your psychologist will agree regarding your needs. The final decision is ultimately yours.
